What are the trends in corporate apparel for 2026?
Durable, comfortable & stylish
Corporate clothing has long since ceased to be merely functional. It is an important part of how you are visible as an organization, to customers and employees alike. In 2026, we will see style, comfort and sustainability increasingly converge. Workwear should not only be practical, but also contribute to identity, job satisfaction and future-proofing.
As in 2025, some trends continue to evolve, while new emphases arise from hybrid working, technological innovations and a growing focus on sustainability. Here are the key corporate apparel trends for 2026.
Trend 1: Fashion meets workwear
The line between fashion and workwear is becoming increasingly blurred. Also in 2026, we see workwear being more inspired by the fashion world. Think modern silhouettes, contemporary fits and garments that can be worn just as well outside of work hours.
Where corporate clothing used to be mainly uniform and practical, it is now all about a professional look with personality. Stylish blazers, comfortable pants, polos and tops with a modern look are increasingly becoming part of corporate clothing collections.
Why this trend is important:
- Enhances professional appearance
- Connects to modern work cultures
- Makes corporate clothing more attractive to wear
Trend 2: Sustainability is no longer a trend, but the norm
Sustainability already played a big role in 2025, but in 2026 it will simply be the standard. Companies expect their corporate apparel to be produced responsibly, with consideration for people and the environment.
Materials such as recycled polyester, organic cotton and sustainable blends have become indispensable. In addition, there is a growing focus on circular solutions, such as reusing or recycling old workwear.
What we see more and more often:
- Use of sustainable and recycled materials
- Longer life due to better quality
- Increased focus on circular processes
Circuwear by Outfit
Our own label Circuwear offers a circular solution: reusing or recycling old workwear into new clothing and fabrics. By doing so, you contribute to a better environment and turn your workwear into a powerful marketing tool that communicates your values.
Trend 3: Comfort & multifunctionality for hybrid working
Hybrid working has a lasting impact on business attire. Employees want clothing that is comfortable during a work-from-home day, but also presentable enough for office or client appointments.
In 2026, the focus is therefore strongly on comfort, stretch materials and multifunctional garments. Clothing that moves with different work occasions, without compromising on appearance. The renowned brand James Harvest, for example, offers clothing that does just as well in the office as in a private setting.
Characteristics of this trend:
- Stretch fabrics and comfortable fits
- Low wrinkle and breathable materials
- Layering: easily adapt to any moment
Trend 4: Innovation in materials and functionality
Technological developments are playing an increasing role in workwear. In 2026, we will see more innovative fabrics that contribute to comfort, hygiene and performance.
Consider materials with temperature regulation, antibacterial properties or odor control. These innovations are often invisible, but make a big difference in daily wear comfort, especially in industries where employees work long hours.
Helly Hansen Workwear, for example, continually invests in innovation, such as their unique Lifa® technology for moisture wicking and insulation, or the Helly Tech® Performance layer that makes clothing water and windproof, yet breathable.
Examples of innovations:
- Temperature regulating fabrics
- Antibacterial and odor-resistant finishes
- Lightweight and breathable materials
Trend 5: Timeless colors with bold accents
Neutral colors will continue to be the basis of many corporate clothing collections in 2026. Colors such as navy, gray, beige and black provide a professional and timeless look.
What is new is the way these basic colors are combined with accent colors. Subtle color details, for example in stitching, linings or accessories, strengthen the brand identity without being overpowering.
What you see a lot of:
- Neutral base colors
- Accent colors matching the corporate identity
- Subtle patterns for added depth
Trend 6: Personalization and employee experience
Workwear is becoming increasingly personal. Employees want to feel comfortable as well as recognize themselves in what they wear. This is why personalization will play a major role in 2026.
Working with different fits, choices within the corporate identity and personalized details such as embroidery or name tags creates more commitment and pride.
Effect of personalization:
- More comfortable to wear
- Higher employee satisfaction
- Stronger connection to the brand
Trend 7: Transparency and fair production
In addition to sustainability, the importance of transparency is also growing. Companies want to know where their corporate clothing comes from and under what conditions it was produced.
Fair working conditions, clear chains and responsible production processes are no longer extras in 2026, but a natural expectation.
This trend stands for:
- Transparency in the chain
- Ethical and fair production
- Conscious choices with an eye to the future
This is how we make corporate apparel more sustainable and honest
Sustainability is not a trend for us, but something we work on continuously. In 2025, we were awarded the EcoVadis Bronze medal. This means we are among the best 35% of more than 150,000 companies worldwide. We scored well on environment, labor rights and fair business.
We are already doing this:
- We use as many recycled and natural materials as possible in our clothing
- Our embroidery thread is made of 100% recycled polyester
- Sizing via on-site fitting sessions to prevent overproduction
- Through Circuwear, we collect old company clothing and process it into new raw materials and yarns. Or we turn them into completely new products.
- Our packaging and paper are mostly from recycled materials
- We bundle shipments and have set shipping times to reduce transport movements
- We drive only electric cars and in the region we deliver with our electric company van
We work only with suppliers we know well and trust. All of our partners sign the Outfit Code of Conduct. This contains clear rules about fair wages and good working conditions.
We want to achieve this by 2026:
- Provide 25% more clothing made from recycled and/or natural materials
- Increase the proportion of recycled materials in our packaging material to 60%
- Emit even less CO₂ and offset the rest
In 2026, we will be re-assessed by EcoVadis. Our goal is to achieve at least a silver medal.
